All the talk of a new forum had me thinking about this. I think it was sull that started the last thread on this. If i can find it I'll link it. "Favorite Threads" or something like that.

But there are a bunch of times from dzone history that didn't really have any landmark threads associated with them:

--That period where dzone didn't exist for like 9 months. It's amazing that the site survived that shit. I remember checking once a week just to see what was going on with it.

--DrDeath: Remember that time me, you and Dvade posted like 300 times in 15 minutes because there was no post timer up for some reason? I don't really know why I remember that.

--I remember pushing hard for everyone to join my Shadowbane guild and then the game being utter crap in every way possible. What a waste of time that was.

--I remember when DoomMagus came back the first time. He had been gone for awhile and had seemingly mellowed out. At least he didn't really actively flame anyone anymore, he would only flame those that flamed him first. Then (I don't remember who it was, maybe somebody does) someone just flamed the shit out of him and he had no comebacks at all. It was like watching a prize fighter get knocked out for the first time: you wanted to see it happen, but once it does things just aren't the same.

--Here's some "test" I made or something and I don't remember hardly any of the shit on it.

Christ what else was there? I can't remember. Six years is a long fucking time. It's hard to believe this site used to be fairly heavily trafficed by USEast Hardcore people

i just think it is great that there are still a decent number of people that prolly have this set to their homepage- or atleast google and then this is one of the first site's that they check.

my favorite post = any one with a screenshot of someone from here doing something stupid and then them getting flamed by the entire forum.

and who was HANCY - what other accounts was that i remember it was someone but i can't remember who- i always laughed at his posts. and then there was one that he copy/pasted the avoid using netslang or netspeak rules that was classic.

I remember when I first started to come to the site, people would post pics of their ear collections, PKs, duels and anything thing that would provoke shit talking from the game. I think the first picture I ever saw was one of Modega standing over a dead barb and the dead barb posting in the thread making excuses for his death attributing it to lag or something. I think it was Iceorbz or someone, can't remember for sure. Maybe that should be the name of the new site, lagkilledme.com. Earcollectors.com, haha. I also thought diizone.com would be a good one. phoenetically it is still pronounced d-zone but then when/if dii ever comes out, we could milk it for advertising, haha. ^_^

How about when dzone owned ladder on pretty much every reset. I remember when once 5 of us were 1-5 ladder for awhile.

There's also obviously every Jeffk post ever including the one where he tried to insult Doommaggus and got so flamed that he never reappeared on this site.

Finally the picture of Winston and his head superimposed on nearly every hilarious picture circulating the net.

man just looking at a screenie like that almost brings tears to my eyes. the countless months and months of time wasted playing this game was well worth it

Oh, and Krush, I have screenshots from two ladder runs I was involved in where we owned the ladder immediately following reset. The first was with you, me, nivek, and requiem (CoWA tag)). The second was with me, acx, fuzzy, cauhauna, innkeeper, and three others whom I've forgotten (FTW tag). I'll dig them up when I get around to it.

I would do this any other ladder reset, is was fun
